Jambetre Ngolo is Luo for Musical Ambassador and this 10 track offering epitomizes the beginning of MC Sharon's journey into the ethnomusicological realm. This is the first of at least 7 projects which have been created this year; featuring a fresh multilinguistic, sound which blends the unapologetic hip hop flows that she is traditionally known for with afrobeats, ambient music, afro fusion and enigmatic lakeside vibrations. All roads lead home with Jambetre Ngolo and MC Sharon performs her music in Luo and Agikuyu in addition to English and Swahili. From 'Muhoroni' which is an ode to the sugarcane township she hails from, to 'Set me Free' which is talks about liberation from a toxic and dysfunctional relationship there's something in there for everyone.

The Last Will and Testament (TLWAT) is MC Sharon's 6th studio project and it was released on January 15th 2022. The 21-track album is a culmination of the polymathic goddess's creative energies which were harnessed in isolation at the height of the COVID-19 contagion. It a potent yet soulful body of work which is not only timely but also mature, honest, well thought out and also fun. TLWAT is catalyzed in part by the turmoil and uncertainty which had engulfed the world for the better part of 2020 and 2021. The other half is catalyzed by an urgent need to rebirth, experiment and soar beyond the obvious. The duty of an artist or rather a sound sage is to capture the times and this here offering does just that. From Burn Di Corona which was written at the onset of the lockdown, to Say My Name which was written three days after the brutal death of George Floyd, this album tackles hard conversations with the effortless grace that can only be borne of time in the game. The duality in this project is glaring and just like there are difficult conversations, there are also many other lighter moments in TLWAT. Wozaa is for the Africans or rather Alkebulanians who'll find their groove in a Fela Kuti inspired banger which makes the soul dance. Kwisha and Self Love are dedicated to the intricate emotions which accompany this thing we call love. Brother's Keeper is for brothers and Why the Caged Bird sings is dedicated to the freedom that comes with embracing one's calling. The title is inspired by the late great Maya Angelou. So is its mood as well as vocal Nubian nuances. Onge Wichkuot redifines MC Sharon's journey back to her ethnic Luo roots (as will be epitomized by her next offing Nyar Jakwath) and A Page A Day is dedicated to the book lovers. Simply put, TLWAT is a no skip album which is best enjoyed with a good sound system and a smooth drink; preferably as one reads Alkebulanian in Alkebulan. You have to try it to find out why. TLWAT is also the bridge where the old and new MC Sharon meet and there's really no telling where she is headed next. For now we're here though; with 21 gems which will take you through a emotionally and intellectually charged odyssey and leave you begging for more of this reincarnated sound sage.

GEMS is MC Sharon's personal dedication to her legacy with the introduction of her protege son Jabali Tulani aka Jay the Rock into the Kenyan scene. It is also a statement that music freedom is necessary for soul survival and that a creative should be able to do what they want when they want. Shaping the trends rather than being shaped by them according to popular mass culture, MC Sharon goes in, out, over and under; utilising her singing, rapping and production skills to bring out a raw finesse that is only true to her brand of life. Raw finesse best describes this risk taking, banger oriented 20 track masterpiece that will be remembered as her comeback into the game after going AWOL for a bit. It was recorded at Maruna Records, Naivasha. Most prominently featured is CAfu Da Truth aka The Tall Rap Midget who comes through with fun, grit and wit all in one spontaenous recording. Also featured is Ruchey, Ken T Hip as well as two special tracks from Big Boi Kuntry aka Oyoo and Charlie Black.

Hustlers Ground is MC Sharon's 3rd studio project self produced and recorded at EWD Studios, Nairobi. It is a well blended hip hop, reggae and Afro soul crossover album which represents the best of both her musical worlds. With assistance from the other members of The Others Music Group, Hustlers Ground was moulded into a timeless gem. MC Sharon produced all the tracks For instance 4nz made the beat for the Intro ( and did a lil VOX too), Outro, A Mpaka Zee and Diamond. Eriko Korikkz Njeru, a long time associate and co founding member of Warriors Band was on Black Woman n Childe and Salvation was on The Lion Paw Riddim. Kimathi Marshall dropped a killer verse on Faya Kaya while Keyz and 4nz laced Juu Ya Geez. The then young lion Fanya Kweli spoke his truth on War. Thus this is reminiscent of the simplicity and fun aspects of music and will remain that way for a long time to come.
